描述:
A ProLiant server running HP Smart Array Multipath Software Version 2.00B (or earlier) and configured with an HP Smart Array Controller as the boot controller may reboot unexpectedly during startup after the Microsoft Windows splash screen is displayed. This occurs if the boot controller is NOT supported by Multipath Input / Output (MPIO).
Windows queries the Device Specific Module (DSM) to determine whether the boot controller is supported by MPIO. If the boot controller is not supported by MPIO, Windows will halt with the following bugcheck message and the server will reboot unexpectedly:
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

Any ProLiant server configured with all of the following:
- The server is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, or Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
- The server is running HP Smart Array Multipath Software Version 2.00B.
- The server is configured with an HP Smart Array Controller that is not supported by MPIO.
- The server is attached to an HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array 500 Generation 1 (MSA500 G1) or Modular Smart Array 500 Generation 2 (MSA500 G2) Enclosure.

解决方法:
The Windows bugcheck message and unexpected server reboot will be corrected in a future version of MPIO. When more information becomes available, this advisory will be updated.
To avoid the bugcheck condition and unexpected server reboot, reconfigure the server with an HP Smart Array Controller that is supported by MPIO. The current list of supported controllers is listed in the Scope section (above) and an updated list is available in the Release Notes for the latest version of Smart Array Multipath Software. |
